I am 20 years old and I have been taking care of my mother since I was 8. Finally I gave up and began taking care of me in the past few months. Now I feel horrible because she is making my aunt, who is also disabled, feel like she has to take care of her. Also, when I don't do something that is what I've done before my mom gets pissed. I feel like I have to be a caregiver, and assistant, a driver, a cook, a maid, a counselor, a supporter, a listener, a student, a full-time employee, and me all rolled into one. And that is impossible! Thanks for listening to my ramble.

Sometimes you have to push past the guilt in order to do what you know is right. You can't control your mother, but you can do what is healthy for you.

She has a bladder disease that causes pain that is as bad as stage 4 cancer, plus a few other things. Even though the few other things I have as well and I'm not begging someone to do everything for me
